Breast Cancer Awareness and Screening Camp

Project Overview
SPSS Foundation is dedicated to promoting early detection and raising awareness about breast cancer, particularly in underserved communities. As part of this mission, we recently organized 11 screening camps across slum areas in Ahmedabad, with the goal of empowering women with life-saving information and access to early detection methods.
Key Achievements
- 240 women screened for breast cancer, providing them with crucial health insights.
- Over 1,000 women reached through awareness sessions and one-on-one community outreach, bringing education and preventive health care to their doorsteps.
This impactful initiative was made possible with the generous support of Niramai Health Analytix Pvt. Ltd. and CAPED India Trust. SPSS Foundation served as the ground implementation partner, ensuring the camps were accessible to those who need them most.
About Niramai’s Technology
Niramai employs non-invasive, radiation-free thermal imaging technology to detect breast cancer in its early stages. This advanced method is particularly effective for younger women and provides a safe, private, and effective screening process. Its innovative approach makes it ideal for community outreach, ensuring that women in rural and slum areas can access crucial screening services without compromising their privacy or safety.
Why Early Detection Matters
Early detection of breast cancer can save lives. By identifying the disease in its initial stages, treatment is more effective, and the chances of survival improve significantly. SPSS Foundation is committed to continuing this crucial work, reaching more women, and fostering healthier futures for all.
